However, Littler has become a household name in recent weeks amid his historic Championship run.
The darts sensation has rubbed shoulders with the likes of James Maddison, Declan Rice, Aaron Ramsdale and Donny van de Beek over the last fortnight.
And some celebs were quick to show their support following his WDC final heartbreak.
During an interview with Heart Radio, Littler revealed that YouTubers Chunkz and Yung Filly were among the stars that contacted him.
He said: “I’ve had Rio Ferdinand, Luke Shaw, Chunkz and Filly, John Fisher.”
The WDC final became Sky Sports’ most-watched non-football event in history on Wednesday with a peak audience of 3.71million viewers.
After the match, Littler told Sky Sports: “It’s been unbelievable. The one negative was I lost too many legs on my throw so Luke could break me.
“Fair play to Luke, he deserves it.

“I would rather be in the top 32 than play the development tour. I am happy, top 32 and runner-up on my debut, it’s unbelievable.
“I got to the final and might not get to another for the next five or 10 years. I can say I’m runner-up but I just want to go and win it.”
