He heads to Sheriff, who played in the Europa League earlier this season, after two years in Finland.

However, the early years of his career saw him star for both Arsenal and United’s youth teams.

Reid started with the Gunners’ academy before heading to the Red Devils aged 15.

He went on to play alongside Marcus Rashford for the club’s Under-18s and win two Premier League 2 titles before leaving for Swansea after four years.

The 26-year-old right-back has since had permanent spells with Swindon, Woking and Finnish sides FF Jaro and VPS.

Reid won League Two with Swindon before swapping the National League for Finland after just four months at Woking.

They faced Reid’s former club United in the same competition last term after making history in Europe the previous season.

After becoming the first Moldovan club to reach the Champions League group stage, Sheriff secured a famous win at the Bernabeu against Real Madrid on their way to finishing third.

Despite crashing out of Europe before Christmas this season, though, Reid could still win a league title in 2024.
